Get Found in AI Search
Before Your Competitors Do
Answer engine optimization (AEO) and generative engine optimization (GEO) for B2B companies: showing up in AI search when buyers ask who to work with.
The shift
Your buyers are asking AI. Is it recommending you?
The way people find vendors is changing. A buyer who used to type "clinical trial patient recruitment vendors" into Google now asks ChatGPT something closer to: "Which patient recruitment vendors have real experience with rare disease trials, and what should I look for before choosing one?"
The answer comes back as a short list. Three or four names, a sentence or two about each, drawn from whatever the model found most credible on the open web. If you're on that list, you're in the conversation before the buyer has visited a single website. If you're not, you may never know the opportunity existed.
This isn't hypothetical. We've watched a client land new business from buyers who found them through AI search, with no ad spend behind it. The volume is still small compared to Google. The intent is not.
Illustrative. Vendor names are placeholders.
AEO isn't a replacement for SEO. It's a re-centering of it.
The interface changed more than the fundamentals did.
Large language models still rely on the open web. They crawl trustworthy sites, cite reputable sources, and lean on content that is well organized and clearly written. The brands that get recommended are the ones that have made themselves easy to understand, easy to trust, and easy to cite.
So we don't sell AEO as a bag of tricks. We treat it as what good SEO has always been, pointed at a new set of destinations and measured in a new way.
You'll also hear this called generative engine optimization (GEO), AI search optimization, or LLM optimization. The labels are still settling. The work is the same: being the source the model trusts when your buyer asks the question.
Structured, scannable content
Pages that are easy for humans and machines to understand: clear hierarchy, clean formatting, and content that anticipates the actual questions buyers ask.
Expert-driven depth
Content built with your subject matter experts, so it reads like an answer from someone who knows, not a brochure. Models cite sources that sound like they know what they're talking about.
Being the best explanation available
When your page is the most complete, credible answer to a question in your category, it gets pulled into the response. That's true on Google, in ChatGPT, and in whatever comes next.
If you're invisible in search, you'll be invisible in AI.
What's Included
Everything from first measurement to ongoing tracking.
AI Visibility Baseline
A structured set of real buyer prompts run across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Gemini, alongside traditional search data. You see exactly where you appear, where competitors appear instead, and why.
Citation and source analysis
Which websites, publications, directories, and pages the models actually pull from when they answer questions in your category. This is the map of where you need to be present.
Content strategy and production
Pages, articles, and resources built with your experts and structured to be cited: direct answers, clear hierarchy, and the depth that makes a model treat you as the authority.
Technical and structural foundations
Schema markup, crawlability, site structure, and the small signals that help models understand who you are and what you do.
Ongoing tracking
Monthly monitoring of your share of voice across AI platforms, so you can see movement over time rather than guessing. We use enterprise-grade AI visibility tooling and supplement it with our own analysis.
Start with a baseline
Most companies have no idea what AI says about them. A baseline fixes that fast, and gives you a starting point to build from.
The AI Visibility Baseline is a fixed-scope, fixed-fee engagement. It's the right first step whether you end up working with us afterward or not, because it replaces guessing with a clear picture of where you stand. You get:
- A prompt set built from how your buyers actually ask, not how you describe yourself
- Results across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Gemini, plus traditional search
- Your share of voice versus named competitors
- The sources each platform cites in your category
- A prioritized list of what to fix first, and what to leave alone
How it works
Measure first.
Then fix what the measurement tells you.
Four stages, in order. The baseline stands on its own; the rest follows only if the findings justify it.
01
Baseline
A prompt set built from real buyer language, run across the major AI platforms and Google. Where you show up, where you don't, and who shows up instead.
02
Gap analysis
We trace the answers back to their sources. Which pages, publications, and directories are the models citing? What do competitors have that you don't?
03
Build
Content, structure, and technical fixes, prioritized by impact. New pages with your experts, restructured existing ones, and presence on the sources the models trust.
04
Track
Monthly share-of-voice tracking with the same prompt set, so movement is measurable. We adjust as the models change, because they will.
Mix Talent
AI visibility as part of a full digital lead generation strategy
For Mix, a life sciences staffing firm, we rebuilt their AI visibility tracking around real buyer language, analyzed citation patterns across ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google's AI Overviews, and used what we found to shape content and site structure. Organic AI search is now producing qualified client leads alongside paid and traditional search.
